The HeadproX emits two wavelenghts: red light in the 630–660 nm range and near-infrared (NIR) light at 810–850 nm. Red light wavelength therapy activates dormant hair follicles and works in the following ways:

1. Energizes mitochondria to support cellular energy and metabolism.
2. Stimulates bloodflow to the scalp, combating one of the major causes of hair thinning.

The HeadproX can be used on its own or in combined with other hair treatments.

Products such as minoxidil, finasteride, supplements, have been shown to help to with the problem of hair loss. They can be used in conjunction with the HeadproX, however, they are not required in order to see results with the HeadproX.

A typical session lasts for only 10 minutes. Consistency matters more than intensity — regular shorter sessions tend to outperform occasional long ones. Allow at least 6–8 hours between sessions on the same area to let cellular processes complete.

Red light therapy is widely considered safe for healthy adults when used as directed. It is non-ionising and does not cause UV damage. Mild side effects can include temporary redness or warmth at the treated area, especially at close range. Overuse may cause skin irritation. People with photosensitive conditions, those taking photosensitising medications, or anyone who is pregnant should consult a healthcare professional before use.

During use the LED units are fully enclosed within the cap so eye exposure is extremely limited. No specific eye protection is required.

Do not expose your eyes directly to the light units.

Direct, prolonged exposure to the LEDs can be uncomfortable and potentially harmful to the eyes over time. Near-infrared light is invisible, so you may not realise how bright the exposure is without protection.

Red light therapy is used to fight hair loss and promote new hair growth by stimulating cell metabolism and bloodflow. This treats genetic hair loss and allows users to have long-term success without experiencing an increase in health risks

Setup is straightforward: Charge the inbuilt battery using the charger cable, plug it into a standard mains socket. Then simply put on the cap and switch on.

Keep the HeadproX clean by wiping the LED surface gently with a dry or lightly damp cloth — avoid abrasive cleaners. Our LED units have a lifespan of 50,000+ hours, so rarely need replacing.

Results depend on the goal and individual biology. Pain and recovery benefits are often felt within days to a few weeks of consistent use.

Visible improvements — such as reduced hair loss, thickening of hair coverage — typically take 4–8 weeks of regular sessions to become noticeable, with peak results around the 3-month mark. Like exercise or skincare, red light therapy rewards consistency; sporadic use produces minimal results.
